Andy Russell Co-Founder

Andy is an educational media producer. Inspired by the movie BIG and a lifelong obsession with small brightly colored plastic bricks, Andy is a graduate of Learning Design programs at Stanford and Northwestern and has worked for companies like Hasbro and Sony PlayStation to design playful learning experiences for kids. One day when this start-up thing is over, he hopes to rebuild his family's ice cream business.

Thushan Amarasiriwardena Co-Founder

Thushan is a designer/developer. While as a Multimedia Journalist at The Boston Globe, he pushed the publication's storytelling into new formats, helping to launch its video unit and developing interactive infographics. He's traveled to 42 countries, volunteered for the social enterprise Digital Divide Data in Cambodia, he studied Computer Science at NC State and wishes he could talk like Optimus Prime.

Walter is a creative coder and game designer. A graduate of UC Berkeley and Georgia Tech's Digital Media program, he's developed novelty iPhone apps for several Big Important Clients, and a few pretty cool small ones. He loves creating delightful, usable interfaces. And he likes to dance.

Catherine Thomason Artist

Catherine has always loved watching cartoons and doodling. It was an easy decision for her to move to a big city and study Media Arts & Animation at The Art Institute of California, San Francisco. In her free time she continues to make big illustrations of little stories and likes to play around with music.

Mike Rotondo Software Engineer

Mike makes software that gives people new ways to explore and express themselves. He has studied Computer Science and Music at the University of Rochester and CCRMA at Stanford. He was at Google but left to work in more mysterious ways. For example, he created a museum exhibit where kids draw magical creatures on giant iPad mushrooms, then watch their creations come to life in a shared virtual world.

Hannah is a constructivist educator. She's a proud graduate of the Early Childhood Education program at Columbia College and has worked extensively with authentic assessment and iPad classroom integration. In addition to the whole empowering kids thing, she loves to read, make things, and play the ukulele.
